Stepping Up for a Cause: Louise’s 5K Challenge

Louise Crews is taking on the 5K at the Edinburgh Marathon Festival to raise funds for Amazing Grace – Friends of Fetal Medicine, a cause close to her heart. With her running partner Dougie by her side, she’s turning a personal milestone into a meaningful mission.

A Personal Milestone with a Meaningful Mission

As a milestone birthday approaches later this year, Louise Crews has chosen to mark the occasion by taking on a new challenge: participating in the 5K event at the Edinburgh Marathon Festival on Saturday, 24th May.

The scenic route begins and ends near Dynamic Earth, leading runners through the heart of Edinburgh and around the stunning Holyrood Park. Louise will take on the long eastern climb of the city’s iconic ancient volcano before a swift, steep descent to the finish line at Holyrood Gait.

Running for Amazing Grace – Friends of Fetal Medicine

“I’m running in support of Amazing Grace – Friends of Fetal Medicine, an organisation that would have made a real difference to my family following a traumatic birth experience many years ago, had it been available at the time.”
Louise Crews

Louise is using this opportunity to raise funds for Amazing Grace – Friends of Fetal Medicine, a cause very close to her heart. Training through the winter months and moving from treadmill to outdoor running has been no easy feat, but she’s persevered—with the help of her loyal running companion, Dougie, who’ll be joining her on the day.

Special thanks to Mike at Promotional Impressions in Dunfermline for kindly providing their brilliant event t-shirts!
