Ten Y Fan Challenge to Fund Counselling for Fife Families

On May 10, join Amazing Grace as we take on the Ten Y Fan challenge—climbing Pen Y Fan ten times in 24 hours—to raise £500 for fully funded counselling. Help support families in Fife who have experienced baby loss or pregnancy difficulties. Every donation brings hope and healing.

Our Mission: Supporting Families Through Difficult Times

At Amazing Grace – Friends of Fetal Medicine, our mission is to provide fully funded counselling and compassionate support for families in Fife who have experienced baby loss or difficulties during pregnancy. We understand that these challenges create lasting impacts, and our goal is to ensure that no one has to face these hardships alone.

We are currently raising £500 to fund counselling services that offer much-needed emotional support during these trying times. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to making a real difference in the lives of those affected.

The Ten Y Fan Challenge: A Journey of Endurance and Hope

On May 10, my good friend Glyn and I will be taking on the Ten Y Fan Challenge in South Wales—a task as physically demanding as it is symbolically powerful. Our challenge involves climbing Pen Y Fan, the highest peak in the region at 2,907 feet, a full ten times within 24 hours.

Training and Preparation

Over the past six months, we have rigorously trained for this monumental task. The extensive preparation reflects our commitment not only to physical endurance but also to the cause itself. Just as we push our bodies to the limit, we are driven by the urgency to support families facing the heartache of baby loss and pregnancy difficulties.

Why Pen Y Fan?

Climbing Pen Y Fan is symbolic. With an elevation of 2,907 feet, it serves as a local testament to overcoming challenges—even if it’s not the height of Mount Everest (29,029 feet). Our repeated ascents within 24 hours mirror the resilience and determination needed to face and overcome life’s most challenging moments.
